Hi! I’m Candice. I started off my career at Cosmopolitan as an intern and eventually worked my way over to Elite Daily where I held the title of Senior Dating Writer for four years. Over the course of my career, my work has appeared in the likes of TIME, Rolling Stone, Cosmopolitan, The Cut, and more major publications.

Now, let’s talk books. My first book, Just Send the Text: An Expert’s Guide to Letting Go of the Stress and Anxiety of Modern Dating, was released by Tiller Press in February 2021. (If you’re in need of some fun, empowering dating advice, buy yourself a copy here.) My debut novel, Finding Famous: A Mashad Family Story, is the first of a two-book deal with Disney Hyperion and is set to be released in 2024. (It is the young adult book of my 13-year-old self’s dreams and I cannot wait for you to be able to read it!!) Outside of my own books, I also do both fiction and nonfiction ghostwriting for a select few clients.

Basically, I love to write. Whether I’m writing up an article for one of my favorite publications or drafting a fictional story about a glitzy Hollywood family, I cannot believe I get to do this for a living.
